(Dayton – Columbus) – Former Ohio Governor Ted Strickland endorsed Adam Miller for Congress Tuesday. A frontline DCCC candidate Ret. Col. Miller has raised over $550,000 with over 18,000 contributions.
The DCCC has called Ret. Col. Miller’s race a “District-in-Play. Ohio-15 is one of the most hotly contested races in the country after Ohio redistricting.

New district boundaries have the district within the margin of error, and it has been named a DCCC red-to-blue district. The district has an even split of registered Democrats and Republicans, and 200,000 unaffiliated voters. Tim Ryan, Sherrod Brown, and Joe Biden have all won this new district in earlier cycles.
Strickland, also a former Ohio Congressional member, represented several Southern Ohio counties in the new Ohio 15 th Congressional District. “Adam Miller is a highly qualified dedicated public servant, energetic and incredibly persistent,” Strickland said.

“His approach to public service reminds me of myself when I ran and served in Congress.  The only difference between us is that I ran four (4) times before I won a seat, and he will win this time.”
“I’m incredibly humbled and honored to announce former Democratic Governor of Ohio, Ted Strickland’s endorsement,” said Ret. Col. Miller. “Gov. Strickland’s wealth of knowledge, professional networks, and lifelong dedication to serving the people of Ohio are an invaluable asset to our campaign.”

A proven vote-getter, Ret. Col. Miller won four consecutive Ohio House elections in two separate Districts in the Statehouse that are now included in the new District 15 Congressional boundaries.

“From family farms to factories, schoolteachers to retail workers, the people of this District want to restore integrity and advocacy for them in Congress,” said Ret. Col. Miller. “This race is about the people of Congressional District 15, their lives, their pocketbooks, their jobs, their retirement, and their future. That is why I am grateful for the outpouring of support from so many people that believe like I do that Congress
needs to focus on them, not petty DC squabbles.”

Miller is a retired Colonel in the U.S. Army JAG Corps (Reserve) and a combat veteran with multiple overseas tours, including two deployments to Afghanistan. His roles in military leadership, particularly as Rule of Law Director for NATO/US Forces in Afghanistan, highlight his expertise in international affairs and dedication to national security.

A former K-12 public school teacher, coach, and administrator, Miller also served on the Grandview Heights City School Board.
