Congressional candidate Adam Miller spoke at the Aug 30 Dayton-Cincinnati Rally supporting federal employees at the VA. Members of the American Federation of Government Employees, US Senate Candidate Sherrod Brown, State Rep. Allison Russo and Ohio Democratic Party Chair Kathleen Clyde were among the dignitaries speaking in support of VA workers who have been cut.

“It was a great privilege to stand in solidarity with all of the veterans’ administration, hospital, veterans’ clinics healthcare and medical workers — most of whom are veterans themselves — and show my support for them in the wake of the devastating cuts. Over 50% of our VA folks have been cut by this administration,” said Adam Miller.

“It’s unconscionable, it’s illegal, and it must stop.”

Miller and others spoke at the rally in solidarity with veterans and civilians who work to support U.S. veterans by providing health care to those who have served our country.

“We would not have one of the best veteran’s administrations and veterans benefits in the world were it not for all of the government employees that work tirelessly at our VA hospitals and clinics,” Miller said.

“To see this administration recklessly, ruthlessly cut 50% of VA staffing, particularly in VA healthcare, wellness and suicide prevention is unconscionable. And the only thing worse than Trump’s cuts of the VA and military benefits is the fact that Congress is standing silent and doing nothing.”

“That’s why I had to be there to voice my loud opposition to Trump’s policies and to show what a real Congress, a Congress that supports veterans will do,” Miller said.
